Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. I have spent the last 7 or so years in the mortgage business helping people get qualified for a mortgage and working in various management roles at a few different mortgage companies.
In 2008 I started my first blog and now spend much of my time contributing to various websites who are interested in having a “mortgage expert” write interesting (ok, semi-interesting) information about the mortgage markets.
I am not the smartest mortgage person in America, but I might be one of the few people you know who has the formal education, real-life mortgage origination experience and can also write a 5 paragraph essay that at least some people want to read.
So after spending 2009 working at Van Dyk Mortgage in Arizona with Jeff Arnstein, in 2010 I moved to Academy Mortgage – home of the Ten Day Close. I also started calling myself a mortgage commentator.
I also have made a few great connections in the Search Engine Optimization world and enjoy talking with quite a few of my SEO friends who are way smarter than I am about it.
But when it comes to helping  you with your mortgage, I don’t actually help people obtain a loan any more, I only talk about the things that are important for them to know regardless of what lender or loan officer they choose to work with.
Which is why you can count on me to give you the “behind the scenes” mortgage information that few others will admit to — because I don’t actually do loans anymore.
Certainly, you can contact me anytime – and if you would like an insight to at least a few of my non-mortgage thoughts you can see more of my ramblings at justinmchood.com.
